THE MYOGA PARADOX
Image series illustrating the paradox of miscommunication. By blending photography and illustration, this series seeks to create an impossible reality, reflecting the contrast between what is spoken and what is understood. This discrepancy arises because there is no single, absolute reality. Imagination steps in to bridge the sometimes awkward gap in meanings, striving to establish a shared point of connection and giving rise to numerous potential interpretations of what could be.
The duo started their conversation with a simple question:
"What's your least favorite vegetable?"
One responded with "Miogas," referring to Japanese ginger.
The other was left puzzled, with the word "Amigas" echoing in her head.
In collaboration with illustrator Mirano Suzuki.
